Holidays

It is the holiday season. I am finished with craft fairs for the year, so I have some time for special orders. I just updated my ArtFire store with some of my new items and several of my ornaments. I’ll continue adding more in the next week. I’m also working on my first gourd. I’m prettyContinue reading “Holidays”

Update 10/19/2014

A lot has changed in the past year. I have slowed down on the production of art. It’s been harder to find time to fit it in with this new addition to my life. Currently I am working on two bowls that are a collaboration with Ken Gadway. He turned the bowls and I amContinue reading “Update 10/19/2014”

Fairy Tale Glyphs

I’ve had an idea for a painting floating around in my head for a long time. I wanted to do a petroglyph with a fantasy twist. A while ago I sketched out some of my ideas. This week I colored them in Photoshop. I may do a few more of these in the coming weeks. ForContinue reading “Fairy Tale Glyphs”

Colorado Fires

As a former Colorado resident, my heart goes out to those affected by the fires. From now until July 10th, 15% of my online sales will go to the American Red Cross. The 15% will be specifically allocated to the local chapters that are supporting fire victims. Craft Fairs

I now have two small craft fairs under my belt. While that does not make me an expert by any stretch of the imagination, I did learn a few valuable things from my experience. Before my shows, I did some online research on what to bring with me and how to stage my display.  ForContinue reading “Craft Fairs”

Thoughts from a Meeting with the SBA and New Work

A couple of weeks ago I had a meeting with someone from the local Small Business Administration (SBA). I got a lot out of the meeting and would recommend that any artist who is having trouble with or just needs some advice on the business side of art give it a try. My meeting wasContinue reading “Thoughts from a Meeting with the SBA and New Work”
